Broadcasting the long awaited good news had to be ON-SITE and using a grey fergie was a must.
Tractor and trailer sits beside the field which will be our visitors car park.

Committee members from both sides of the border stand in the memorial garden on the 'digging of the first sod' day, September 2007. The first sod was dug using a 1960 Massey Digger of course.

This picture shows Mr and Mrs Poots, residents of the homestead standing beside the Massey digger which is operated by the Mayor of Lisburn City Council, and includes 2 committee members.

We the committee wish to thank the Poots family for the use of their land and garden in memory of Harry Ferguson.

This shows the granite pillars prior to the restored homestead gate being fitted.
The bronze statue of Harry Ferguson will be fitted to the gate a few days before the official opening
16th August 2008.
